Kindle Screensaver Generator

Design a custom screensaver for your Kindle. Download as a PNG and sideload it to your device.

How to set as your Kindle screensaver

  1. Connect your Kindle to your computer via USB
  2. Copy the downloaded PNG file into the root folder of your Kindle
  3. Create a folder named images (if it doesn't already exist)
  4. Move the PNG into the images folder
  5. Eject and restart your Kindle

📌 For newer Kindles (firmware 5.16+): some models require an extra file to trigger custom screensavers. If the above doesn't work, create an empty file named trigger_restart or reboot in the Kindle root before restarting. If your Kindle still shows stock images, your firmware version may not support unsigned screensaver files — in that case, use the "Display Cover" option in Settings to show your current book cover instead.
